“I have known and worked alongside Dave in his various role within CBM International over the past 11 years.

During the first years, Dave was CEO of CBM Canada which was known globally as a strong, progressive member of the organisation.  My dealings with him during this time reflected wisdom and strong strategic emphasis in those things he undertook.  His board in Canada was also very highly regarded as an example of excellent governance.

My next dealings with Dave were soon after he became the regional director for CBM Southern Africa.  He entered a new culture with very disgruntled staff in an office that needed a totally new sense of direction and purpose.  I watched as he turned that office around with grace and, again good strategic perspective and development of good governance.

He then moved to East Africa, where again he strengthened that office, before taking over as President of CBM International. In this role he needed to make very tough decisions, which he carried through with great care.  He also managed well to work in a very culturally different environment in this large and complex organisation based in Germany.

I have huge regard for Dave as a person of great integrity, of a very strong work ethic and commitment to working on behalf of the world’s most vulnerable populations. He is a very strategic thinker who also understands the role and value of strong governance in an organisation.

I know he would bring value to any work he commits to give support to.”
